Majestic ANTRV01

The Majestic ANTRV01 TV/FM Antenna with built in booster for Vehicles is designed for installations in Car's, RV's or Motorhomes to provide a neat looking installation without a massive antenna being mounted to the roof. The ANTRV01 is developed using the ground earthing system to give you the best possible performance for metal installations while providing a High Gain 23dB reception. The Majestic team has developed this antenna with size and performance being the primary factors.

Technical Features

Gain: The Majestic engineering team has taken the time develop a small compact antenna that is able to give exceptional performance. The ANTRV01 TV antenna is developed using similar technology to the globally know Majestic UFO X. The built in amplifier is smaller in design and slightly lower Gain coming in at 23dB. Given that the antenna uses the earthing of the vehicle as its ground this ensures the Antenna is able to give you the best possible performance for a metal surface installation. Having the amplifier built in the antenna gives you a huge advantage over other TV antennas because now you have a very strong signal in the antenna that has not had any interference being induced when it received the signal, and with a very strong signal being sent down the cable, the electrical interference is insignificant compared to the strong signal. The ANTRV01 does not need to do any filtering or cleaning to give you excellent digital reception directly to your TV.

SNR: Signal to Noise Ratio. This is one of the most important factors of a TV Antenna which has an amplifier. The lower the signal to noise ratio the better the amplifier performs. Basically we are comparing Signal vs Noise. The more signal we have and the less noise we have the better the amplifier works. The ANTRV01 uses a low noise amplifier to produce a very low a signal to noise ratio of 7dB which is low compared to most other brands. This means that more signal is amplified and less noise is amplified, which in turn means better performance. This also significantly improves distance performance, as the further you get the signal is weaker, and the noise of electrical interference, other noise still remains high, so the ANTRV01 Amplifier is able to clean the signal and give you exceptional performance.

FM.jpg
UHF/VHF/FM:
The ANTRV01 is capable of receiving signal on different frequencies. Throughout various countries there are UHF and VHF signals for Digital and analog TV, the ANTRV01 can pick them up and integrate the process in the antenna and amplify them and send a nice clean signal down the cable for your TV. But more importantly the ANTRV01 can pick up FM signal and boost this performance. The ANTRV01 has two outputs one for TV signal and one dedicated for AM/FM.

Operating Frequencies:
VHF - 48.5MHz - 233MHz
UHF - 470MHZ - 870MHz
AM - 535KHz - 1605KHz
FM - 87MHz - 108MHz

Warranty: Majestic products are designed and developed in Australia and exported globally, with over 15 years experience Majestic stands by the quality of our products by providing a 3 year worldwide warranty. Our engineering design team has paid attention to all the important details to ensure that when you purchase a product of this quality and caliber that you can enjoy many years of reliable performance in the toughest conditions where domestic brands will not survive.

Size: The Majestic ANTRV01 has been developed with size as a critical factor and we have engineered the amplifier to be in the base of the antenna using state-of-the-art technology in the internal electronics. These technical advances ensure the ANTRV01 not only looks much better than most TV antennas in RV installations, but gives you the performance that you have come to expect from Majestic products.

Ground Dependent: The ANTRV01is also designed to be ground dependent (it needs to use a ground plane or be grounded) to amplify the TV signal. This design is very specific as most installations in Motorhomes and RV's are metal roofing so the ground is perfect for this types of antenna. This is another brilliant engineering design by Majestic to make this antenna perfect for metal roof installation.

If you need a TV antenna with a ground independent system, for example a boat, fiberglass or marine Installation then you need to use our UFO X which is specifically designed for ground independent installations.

Does the Majestic TV Antenna pick up HD Digital Channels?

Yes all the Majestic TV Antennas pick up Digital Channels.

However it is also important that you have a TV that has a Digital TV Tuner otherwise it will not be able to decode the Digital Channels picked up.

Does the UFO X Work on 24V systems?

The UFO X junction box accepts 9V to 28V (we rate the maximum at 27V allowing 1V for maximum range). The junction box provides 12V upto the UFO X so the amplifier in the UFO X is powered by 12V DC. So as long as your 24V charging system does not exceed 28V then it will work. If it does exceed 28V the junction box will simply turn OFF - the green light will go out and no power goes up to the Antenna. Once the voltage drops below 28V the junction box will power up again and send 12V upto the UFO X and it will work normally.

What type of cable should I use for my TV Antenna?

The Majestic TV antennas such as the UFO X, the come complete with 10M (33ft) RG59 TV Coax. This type of cable works best at this length, as you increase the length of the cable your rate of loss accelerates.

Therefore, if you are looking at longer length of cable, for example to go up a mast or on the top of a boat we suggest either RG6 which is good to about 20M (66ft) if you need longer then we suggest you go to RG11 which is good to about 30M (99ft).

Quad shield is the best option if you can source this as this will also help with reducing the amount of noise being picked up in the cable, especially over longer runs.

My UFO X TV Antenna is not picking up any TV Stations what can I check?

Firstly - you need to make sure it is wired up correctly.

There are two connectors close together which say out1 & out2 – these go to the TV’s or FM radio. The one on its own IN is the Antenna lead – make sure it is wired correctly.

Secondly - the Majestic UFO X is a boosted TV Antenna and there are several things that you can test, before the antenna is classed as faulty.

The First thing to do is to see if the Junction Box has power to it. When power is applied there will be a Green Light on the UFOX model Junction box or small red light on the side of the Original UFO TV Antenna. If there is NO Green light, unplug the power cable and check there is 9V to 27V coming into it (depending on your power system) the Center Pin will be positive (red +) and outer pin negative (Black -) If there is no power then this is your problem, you need to get power to the Junction box.

If power is getting to the junction box then check to make sure power is coming out of the junction box. Remove the cable going to the Antenna (IN) – place a small wire in the center pin section and carefully measure the voltage (again Center pin will be positive). If there is power coming out – then the box is ok.

If there is No Power coming out the Box is faulty – contact our support team to organize this with you.

Now that we know power is coming out of the junction box we need to know if there is power getting to the TV antenna. The easiest way is to see if there is a blue light at the bottom of the TV Antenna, please note you cannot see this during the day as the Blue Light shines through the TV antenna and can only be seen of a night time or dusk. If there is a Blue Light then the system is correctly working, and you need to Retune the TV or relocate to another location where there is a better signal. If you are already in a strong signal area and still cannot any channels after a retune – make sure you have the TV Antenna setting set for AIR (not cable) if you are in USA or Canada – if still nothing contact our support team.

If you do not have a blue light we need to see if there is power getting to the TV antenna at the top. Unplug the cable from the TV Antenna and see if you can measure 12V at the end of the plug (Center pin positive be careful not to short the center pin and shield during measuring). If you do not have power there, it means there is an issue with the cable or plugs (as there is power coming out of the junction box and not getting to the end) – you will need to check the plugs and cabling.

If there is 12V coming out of the plug going to the antenna – reconnect it and check again to see if you can see the blue light – if not – the Antenna is faulty, contact our support team to help.

Can I mount the New UFOX using the same old UFO Mount?

This depends on how it was mounted:

Deck Mounted - Yes: If you used the deck mount with the thread for the Old UFO you can use this for the new UFO X, however the antenna will sit very low and the cable comes in from the bottom not at an angle like the old UFO. Therefore, the cable entry and connection will be tight, but you can use the New Mount over the top of the old one as the new is larger and taller. To do this you will need to remove the old mount and the New one will go over (cover) the old holes.

Mast Mounted – No : If you used the old mast mount which was a metal bracket through the base of the old Mount then the answer is No. You will need to change this mount to the New UFOXMMB which is the UFO X Mast Mount Bracket.

The Antenna comes with a socket on the bottom for mounting to 1"-14 threads – common GPS Antenna mount.

When I watch TV my picture is pixelated – what is wrong? ...

The reason you are getting pixelation is due to the signal not being strong enough. There is not enough TV Digital data reaching the processor and therefore it is only displaying the data it is getting.

This is mainly due to three reasons:

Firstly, your location. If you are in a weak signal area then the TV signal needs to be boosted. Either you move location to a better area or improve your antenna position or type of antenna if this is a consistent issue.

Secondly, poor antenna reception. If your antenna does not have a booster the signal you are picking up is too weak. The Antenna should have a booster built into it, we recommend at least 26dB Gain, anything less than this and you are not getting the best possible performance. The Majestic UFOX is 30dB Gain significantly more powerful than most antennas it’s size.

Finally, poor connectors or cabling. If you are getting pixelation and the first two points have been addressed, then you need to check the connectors to make sure they are on properly and there are no bad connections, also check the cable to make sure it does not have any corrosion in it.

One of these three will be causing your issue, to do a final test, you can try the TV at home or in a known good area and if the TV works then it is not the TV, it is the Antenna, Antenna connectors or wiring or location.
